Hi looking to see if anyone has a idea what stock 40ci cam is the best for racing I know the 40 ci intek comes factory with a couple of different ones and in my rules the motor has to be stock just looking for a edge thanks

Do you know what the specs are for the different stock cams? You could try installing them retarded so you will have a higher usable rpm range. Another tip is to tighten up the valve lash to get the most out of the stock cam, the air cooled cylinders grow a lot more and it increases the valve lash at temperature unlike a liquid cooled engine. I've run the valves as tight as .002- .003" on the intake side. Make sure you have decent valve springs to keep the valves from bouncing on the seats, that is usually the biggest cause of stock valve failure.

Thanks I’m not sure of the lift on each cam but I know that there are 3 different ones and I heard that 1 is better then the others but can’t remember which one . 1 is a spoked one the other ones are a solid timing gear
