Well... after a drive to Niagara, it turns out he misunderstood my message regarding the engines in his picture. The horizontal Vanny I was asking about was already sold.
So, I don't have an engine to start with...I have a horizontally in pieces but would really like to have a horizontal.
I've retired the 2006 MTD that I bought new so it might become the new chassis.

I might have a horizontal block and side cover if you have a decent vertical 18hp crank it can be shortened up and machined to fit the horizontal block. If not I probably have 30ci cranks.
