I am working on getting an outlaw class travel series together, supermods would also legally qualify. Ontario Outlaw Pro Series or (OOPS) gotta love it lol. I'm looking to partner up with groups around Ontario to hold races at decent tracks or high profile venues or monster truck shows and so on. I will be looking for series sponsors also looking for contacts for groups that have an interest and mowers that will qualify to run in this series. We will be using the latest 2019 "Western Ontario Outlaws" Outlaw class rules, these will be out at the first of the week if everything goes well. Stay Tuned.........................

Ryan - Is this a series you are running personally or is it a part of the Western Ontario Outlaws?

WOO would be a big part in this Wayne, just like I hope other groups would be with the purpose to unite as a provincial wide series. If anyone wants to be a part in putting this together that would be great. Maybe its a bad time of year I'm not sure but I can't even get anyone to make a post on the message board at this point.

Maybe we can meet in the middle somewhere for a championship race? As long as everyone is running by the same rules.

Sounds good, I'm sure your club will grow fast. It seems as soon as there are two machines to race each other the rest just show up. Let us know if you guys need help with anything.

I guess I should explain my idea and at this point its just ideas and thoughts. The point of this all is to strengthen our home clubs and to promote lawnmower racing as a whole in Canada or at least Ontario for now. My intentions are not to take anything away from any club at any time but to help each club grow. My proposal: At your home track if your machine qualifies to run in the "Pro Series" and your club is onboard with hosting and tech inspecting the machines according to the OOPS rules there would be a number of OOPS events on regularly scheduled race days. So You go race at your home track on a regular race day and the ones designated as being OOPS points days (maybe 3 or 4 a season) will accumulate points for OOPS as well as there regular local points series. OOPS would have its own points system and each club would be responsible for sending in the accumulated points to OOPS. It would be up to each club where and when they want to designate these races. So its just a regular race day for everyone only some are picked out so those points can be used towards a qualifying position in a Championship race (location undetermined) that does not conflict with any clubs race season schedule. At the end of the season, clubs from all over Ontario (or Canada someday) will take their season OOPS points and that will determine your starting position for a Championship race to become a Provincial Champion or OOPS Season Champion. Also the winner of the OOPS championship race may not necessarily be the season points champion. The championship race points count towards the season points total. Everybody with me so far? So we don't have to travel around the country all season to make this happen just one Championship race at the end of the season to be crowned Pro series champion or Provincial or National champion someday. The points system will be calculated with a small percentage factoring the amount of machines competing, so a guy who gets second every race will be rewarded more points if he is competing with ten machines compared to a guy who gets second with only two mowers. In the event of a points tie going into the championship race, whoever drove the farthest to compete at the championship race will get the better starting position. You must have an accumulation of OOPS points to be eligible to race in the Championship race. Any registered OOPS competitor would be eligible to race at any OOPS designated races anywhere in the Province or Country someday until they reach their maximum (of say 3 or 4 races undetermined).
Any thoughts or ideas I'd love to hear them. Again this is all just hot air right now, we might need a season of Outlaw racing before this takes off.
